Why are all my friends suddenly pumped to get married? I have gone to five weddings already this summer. By this rate I will be the token single friend (and broke from buying them all shower/wedding gifts) in no time. Last weekends bbq, I spent 15 minutes talking to a couple about how they went to Fred Meyers and spent the day potting plants. THEN we had to discuss which potted plants where better. I love my friend and his girlfriend but is this what I am going to become??

I wish would follow my own advice. But I loathe the idea that I too will become a smug married discussing my latest vacation and trip to Home Depot. SNORE.
