free falling
one of my oldest best friend is fucking up her life lately. For some reason though, we all have been making excuses for her behavior.
“O blank, Thats just who she is”.
She isn’t doing anything with herself. I’ve tried to help her in the past, but when its coming on almost ten years of doing things for her… I guess I’m just tired. We don’t do anything anymore unless its going out to the bars and getting wasted. I can’t remember a sober event with her lately. I dont trust the people she hangs out with. Shes so charming that she meets people anywhere she goes and trusts them too much. Maybe I’m just a skeptic, but if you met them you would understand.
We dont talk anymore. Its like she has nothing to say. I love her a lot and I’ve had friendship break ups before. But she is going down hill fast and she’s not listening to anyone around her.
I don’t think I can keep watching her fall. When are you a bad friend from walking away from one of your best friends?
This is sad. You aren’t a bad friend. You can only do so much. Lay it on the line, have other friends help you, get a therapist there, and say “We love you, but we can’t watch you do this to yourself anymore. If you don’t get help then we can no longer be in contact.”
